The Tier 2 visa is initially granted for up to five years and 14 days, or the duration of the job offer plus one month—whichever is shorter.
Visa holders may bring their dependents (spouse/partner and children) to live with them in the UK.
After five years of continuous residence, eligible applicants can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), paving the way for permanent settlement in the UK.
